Commonly referred to as one of the greatest guitar players of all time, Stevie Ray Vaughan (SRV) died tragically when he was only 35 years old. The Texas blues musician gained fame after his performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1982 and his debut studio album, Texas Flood in 1983. A Grammy award winner and inducted into both the Rock & Roll and the Blues Hall of Fames, Stevie Ray Vaughan brought a revival of the blues and gave it relevance for a new generation.
Stevie had an incredible effect on guitar players of all ages including Jonnie Price (Downtown Blues Band, Capital 6, +) and Connor Fox (The Hypochondriacs) who will pay tribute by directing a musical review of his career through song. They have lined up some of Fredericton’s best musicians including Jamie Guitar (The Hypochondriacs, Dapper Dan, +), Andrew Demerchant (Sugarbomb, Capital 6) and special guests to deliver what will certainly be an outstanding night featuring passionate performances.
