Celebration of Canadian Music

It is time we celebrate the wonderful music we have in Canada. A selection of very talented local artists have agreed to join us for this show. Should be a great night of music in support of a great cause: Autism Connections Fredericton. Tickets are available at Tony’s music box, on line at event Brite or at the door that night. Of course we cannot feature all of the incredible talent but we have a great cross section being performed. A big Thanks to Barry Hughes and Dolans Pub for supporting this series.

The line up for this January 16th show is now complete. There is a wide variety of performers and a great set of selections to feature. Our early part of the show will feature Wally McKinnon who will cover some Canadian music legends such as: Lenny Gallant, Stan Rogers, Gene MacLellan, Fred Eaglesmith, Leonard Cohen and Daniel Lanois.

New participants in the music series are Local stalwarts “The Tortoise Hare and Millionaire” who will be joining us to do a great set that includes Neil Young, Matt Mayes and The Sheep Dogs. This set promises to be full of energy and showcase the immense talent of these artists.

We are especially pleased to have the Cunningham/ Haynes band playing this celebration . They will be covering songs such as: Blow at High Dough, Little Bones, Mama, Ordinary Day, Could’ve been a Lady, City of Lakes, Tall Trees and Paddy Murphy. These gentlemen are seasoned performers and promise to be a great set.

Maggie’s Farm Revival will be rounding out the night performing artists such as Brian Adams, The Guess Who, Neil Young and the legendary Canadian artists “ The Band”. Should be a great night. We are still waiting on confirmation of a few “surprise” guests who may be joining the celebration.

Hope to see you that night.
